Well, it seems like I'm stuck with this hobby of sorts … I happen to make typefaces. On a good day I enjoy it, on a bad I don't. I don't have a great affection for typography at large — if you ask around, people will probably tell you I am an outsider in this field. Or maybe that's how I want to be perceived, but let us refrain from psychoanalysing this too much. Typography is what I do, sometimes.
I used to say that I did it out of necessity, and that was true for a while, I guess. Or maybe it was because of my sexual frustration … not that it makes much of a difference now that I think about it. In any case, I had a goal — I wanted to change the world by creating a legible typeface family for the free software community. Things have changed since then. Now I just happen to make typefaces. I won't say what my goal is.
I only make typefaces that help me enjoy reading. Sooner or later you'll find them on these pages, but this is a long-term project, and a personal one, so don't hold your breath. If you are curious, wait and see what happens. I sporadically write about my progress as well as some aspects of typography from a personal point of view — for whom I'm not sure. I'm just a guy, not a professional. I do not seek a formal audience.
Poop for the casual visitor: If you are not interested in typography, these pages will probably bore you. (Yes, they bore me too.) I have no intent to convert you, to make you a nun. I'm not going to say type is important for you. It isn't. The only thing that might be of interest to non-aficionados are the typefaces themselves. Or, for now, the lack of them, as I'm not terribly prolific.
I'm also interested in calligraphy and occasional book-burning.
