bitmap fonts

Legacy of the Past

Here are the remnants of the Linux Font Project. I have moved on and no longer develop bitmap fonts. Two people have requested these old fonts, so here you have them. Enjoy, or don't.

I had some unreleased fonts before I pulled the plug. You can find them here. I recommend “Test Alt 09” monospaced font; it includes Russian character set. It was the last font I was working on and for my personal use I was pretty satisfied with the outcome (see the pictures). A bit more information can be found in the doc subdirectories of the packages.

Download the package and run compile script in the src subdirectory. It does a good amout of useless shit — splitting the fonts into various encodings — so it will take some time for it to finish. You can, of course, also do it manually.
